Damianitza Melnik Rose 2004 $8.99


The is a classical dry rose made from the Melnik variety from Struma Valley Region. The aroma is a rich bouquet of wild strawberry and cherry scent, spicy flavours and fragrant herbs. The taste is mild, fruity with characteristic freshness and a lasting finish. The wine leaves a charming impression with its untraditionally rich range of tastes and aromas that could be matched ideally with cheese, lamb, seafood and sweets.

Blend: 65% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine has a beautiful ruby colour with violet nuances. The aroma is rich and multi-layered, with blackberries, vanilla and toasted bread. The taste is fruity and harmonious with good tannin structure. The aftertaste is long, velvety and fruity. The wine is recommended to be consumed at 16° C . 13% alc.

With the Uniqato line the team of Damianitza aims to show superb wines from lesser known varieties, bearing unique style. Besides the already recognised Uniqato Melnik (Early Melnik), vintage 2003 presents another variety - Rubin - a crossing of the varieties Nebbiolo and Syrah created in Bulgaria in 1944.
